报告摘要:Plasmon resonances, which are collective, coherent oscillations of conduction band electrons in metals or highly doped semiconductors, can greatly enhance the light-matter interaction. In particular, the strong coupling between circularly polarized light and plasmonic nanostructures opens new possibilities for nanomanipulation of nanoparticles or molecules, construction of chiral optical elements, and development of novel optoelectronic devices. In this talk, I will introduce our work on the unprecedented rotation control of laser-tweezed plasmonic gold nanostructures and the room-temperature valleytronic devices enabled by chiral plasmonic nanostructures. I will also talk about our recent observations of chiral Berry plasmons in twisted bilayer graphene.
报告人简介:邵磊,中山大学电子与信息工程学院教授,国家高层次青年人才计划入选者,主要研究方向为表面等离激元光子学。2013年取得香港中文大学物理学博士学位后,先后任职于瑞典查尔姆斯理工大学(博士后)、香港中文大学(助理教授)、北京计算科学研究中心(特聘研究员),2022年加入中山大学。在 Nature、Nature Nanotechnology、Advanced Materials、ACS Nano 等国际学术期刊共发表SCI论文72篇,总引用4400余次。
